This is it, guys!
Beginning today and running through July 28th, each day one more winner of the Silmarillion Awards 2016 will be announced on the blogs of the hosters of these awards!
It’s going to be exciting for everyone, even me, since I only know the winner of the award I’m hosting… So we all get to be surprised, and I’m waiting curiously just like the rest of you!
Each of the hosters will be having a character from The Lord of the Rings over on our blogs to present the award to the fan-voted winner of each category. It’s going to be so much fun and I can’t wait to see all the posts!
Below is the posting schedule, and I’ll be updating each link throughout the next week-and-a-half as the posts go live. π

How can you join in? Simple — just do some sort of post about something Lord-of-the-Rings-ish, to celebrate our love for that great work of art on the 62nd birthday of its publication! π
You can post on your blog, or Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/wherever! And you can use the hashtag #SilmAwards2016, and also drop by Jenelle’s site when the time comes, where she’s going to have a linkup so you can add your links!

I have a few book reviews coming out this week, hopefully, and I’ll have my post for the Strangest Character Silmaril award winner on Tuesday, July 26th, so watch out for those! π
Meantime, I hope you’re as excited about the wrapping up of these just-for-fun fan-voted bookish fantasy awards as I am!
Have a lovely weekend, all! ^_^

I can’t wait, either!! This post was a great idea, btw. I’ve been considering doing something to make all the links for the presentations available to my followers… so I may have to borrow this idea and make a second post today. XD (If you don’t mind.)

Yay, I’m so excited for these; I hope I can continue to read them, despite our move. π
And ’tis fitting that Rhindon won the Silmar for best fantasy weapon. *nodnod*

I’m excited too! Ooh, I hope so too, Emily! Hope the move goes well. π
Heehee, yep, I was actually rooting for a different one to win, but I understand why this one did. XD Yay for Narnia!

Brilliant getting Theoden to kick off the awards. Maybe he could be our Master of Ceremony!
I’m excited to see the awards start rolling out even though I am the one person on the planet who actually already knows the results of all the awards. BUUHAHAHAHAAAAA!
Seriously, I was surprised that Rhindon won, and I think you’ll find a few other surprises in the other winners. So keep your pins and needles close!

Thanks, DJ! I just couldn’t resist. π
YES. So excited. I heard that evil laugh, by the way. XD Soooo curious!
I wasn’t TOO surprised about Rhindon… I figure most of the winners will probably be Narnian simply because of the sheer number of people who’ve read those books and not some of the lesser-known ones (since LOTR is ruled out. ;)) — but we shall see! π

I, like DJ, was rather surprised that Rhindon won… I think possibly because I’ve read the books a gajillion times and could not have told you the name of Peter’s sword to save my life. (Possibly to save my life, but probably not). Glad to see a lot of fans of Narnia showed up to the party π

I mean, I kind of wish a different weapon had won, but I mean I wasn’t surprised it was a Narnian sword. π And I guess I’m weird, then, because I have a very piercing memory of Peter drawing his sword when he first picks it up again in Prince Caspian, saying “It is my sword Rhindon. With it I killed the Wolf.” It always gave me shivers. XD Hurray for Narnia! ^_^

I totally remember that moment… but yeah, the name of the sword got lost in the recesses of my memory. π I spent most of my childhood trying to get to Narnia, so seeing so many people nominating and voting for its characters definitely gives me warm fuzzies π

I know what you mean, I was so surprised Rhindon won! I thought for sure it’d be Excalibur. But I am a fan of Narnia, too, so I’m still happy. π
