Infinity Dreams Blog Award

O Frabjous Day! I was tagged by Candice Williams @ O Ye Scribes for the Infinity Dreams Blog Award! Thanks muchly, Candice! 🙂

Rules

  • Thank the blog that nominated you.
  • Tell us 11 facts about yourself.
  • Answer the questions that were set for you to answer.
  • Nominate 11 bloggers and set questions for them.

Eleven Facts About Mwah [I know, it’s French and I’m misspelling it. Boohoo]

(Oh dear. Prepare to learn all about this odd humanoid behind-the-blog…)

1. I’m an INFP. I recently saw somewhere the Meyers-Briggs personality types assigned to fairytale archetypes. Which makes me the Princess, the “dreamy, naive, and idealistic girl wandering the woods singing”. Oh dear… (Also, I only remember which letters I am by turning it into an acronym for It’s Never Fully Perfect.)

2. I am an introvert. I would rather sit in my room with the doors closed and read or write than go anywhere. I enjoy being with people but am exhausted and burnt out after the fact, which means that if I do go somewhere, even if it’s just a writing meeting, I consider that the primary focus of my day because I know I won’t get anything done afterward…

introverts

3. I am a perfectionist. Which can be useful, but mostly it’s really bad. You don’t even want to know how many times I edit, preview, tweak, preview, adjust, preview, polish, preview… etc. my blog posts…

perfectionist

4. I’m also a chronic procrastinator. Yes, this is a lethal combination with #3…

procrastinators

5. I have FOMO (yes this is a thing, which means Fear Of Missing Out) and an inability-to-say-no. I want to do aaaall the things and not miss out, plus I can’t turn people down. Which when coupled with  #2, #3, and #4, means I am constantly over-committed and stressed and behind… But it also means that I have my fingers in all of the pies whenever possible, which can be fairly awesome, when I can keep up.

6. I should be reading the lovely books I’m supposed to review instead of blogging right now. (Case in point. BUT LOVELY BOOOOOKS. <3)

7. I want to start a book blog for sporadically reviewing random books. This is something I must do. Yes. And it will be fabulous, surely.

8. My favorite foods are Fettuccine Alfredo, strawberries, apricots, chocolate (totally a food), and anything that tastes like mint or orange-flavor, and my favorite snack is cream-cheese on crackers. (I have no idea, they are just amazing.)

9. I am very excited about the first look at the Sherlock Christmas Special episode! I HAVE NO CLUE (haha see what I did there) WHAT IS GOING ON OR WHAT THE DEAL IS WITH THE COSTUMES/TIME PERIOD BUT I REALLY DON’T CARE BECAUSE I’M JUST SUPER EXCITED. Why is December so far awayyy? And why is 2017 even farther??

10. My favorite funny things to watch on youtube are Blimey Cow and HISHE (How It Should Have Ended), both of which I discovered recently. I don’t always agree of course, but it’s still funny. [Warning: both are at times extremely hilarious and always extremely addicting and therefore time-consuming!]

11. I’ve recently gotten into listening to Christian pop/rock on the radio. I don’t enjoy all the songs but there are a surprising amount that I’m starting to like a lot!

Candice’s Questions

1. Would you rather grow a garden or raise a puppy?

I honestly don’t know… I have a cat, which mayyy be similar to the latter? So maybe? But I’d also be paranoid of doing either wrong, so a garden if I failed it would just be… dead. Which, dead plants are a better option. But gardening can be enjoyable, at times. I JUST DON’T KNOW! O_O

2. What’s the last book you read that had the word the in the title?

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Which was a reread… *realizes I haven’t finished reading a book since June 24th and freaks out slightly*

3. If you could create a theme park, what would the theme be?

Interesting question! I actually have no idea… Maybe Middle-earth themed? Or else book-themed (but maybe libraries count…?). It’s kind of a toss-up. But both would be kind of awesome.

My Questions

1. If you could have any superpower/ability, what would you choose? (My cruelty knows no bounds. ;))

2. Would you mind sharing a snippet of your latest work-in-progress? Do so! (Alternately, tell us a little about what it’s about?)

3. What’s the best book you read recently and why did you like it?

  1. I eat cream cheese on crackers too. o.o Except with sliced Mediterranean olives on them too. XD And also, that Sherlock special looks sooo awesome, and while I haven’t seen much of Sherlock, I really wish the whole show could be set back in that time because costumes and awesomeness.

    • Yay for cream cheese on crackers! Yummy. 🙂 The costumes and awesomeness are… well… awesome, yes!! 😀 Kind of the whole point of Sherlock is that it’s a modern retelling, but I agree it’s cool to see this way and now I’m just super curious what is going ON! O_O (And I obviously prefer that time period to now, anyway. XD)

  2. Cream cheese on crackers is delicious. Also, I just looked up the fairytale Meyers-Briggs type thing and apparently I’m the Craftsman. Which is ok with me. Then I did it for my novel characters (well, some of them; the ones I know the Meyers-Briggs type for), and it didn’t fit so well. xD
Thanks for tagging me! I shall add this to my list of tags I need to do. xD

  3. Hey, I’m an ENFP. We’re close enough. 😀 *high-fives* For the fairytale type thing I’m a genie.. I don’t quite agree with that. :p
Ahh, I totally get you about that book review blog thing. I have been tempted to start one in a couple of instances, but I just don’t think I have the time… *sigh*
… Ooh. I just got an idea. It would be AWESOME. to get a couple Christian bloggers together and start a review blog from a Christian perspective and review the content and the story… I would be very interested as long as there were other people doing it, too. 😀

  4. Loved this post! 😀 Hey, my personality is one letter off from yours: I’m an INFJ. (Supposedly the sage… *raises eyebrows mysteriously and leans on staff* I can live with that. XD )
All the introvert and procrastinator pics were hilarious. XD
#8 is making me hungry. And I just ate. Stahp it.
Ooh, #11–what sort of songs/artists are you enjoying?
Oh my goodness. I library/book themed amusement park would be AWESOME. I’m envisioning a flying book ride already!

    • Thank you! 🙂 And cool–only one letter off is fairly close! (Sage, hmm…? Well. You are rather wise and all… 😉 *giggle*)

Pinterest is useful like that. XD

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you hungry! But as I’M hungry right now, I guess I’m getting it back, hmm? 😛

Um. Man, I don’t even know! There are so many songs and artists! Since I just listen to the radio and there’s a billion… Well, Colton Dixon is awesome. I like a song or two that I’ve heard by Rend Collective, Ashes Remain, Manic Drive, Superchick, Disciple… I know I’m missing a bunch! o.o I’ve really liked Skillet for a long time already…

Flying book ride? *diiiiies* That would be hilarious.

      • LOL, maybe sometimes. XD
        😛
Ooh, Colton Dixon is really good. I’ve only heard a few songs, but they’ve all been great. Haven’t heard all the artists you mentioned, but the ones I have, I know are really good. 😀 Have you heard of Anthem Lights? I don’t hear them much on the radio, but they’re one of my favorites of ever. ^_^

It would–and I saw the comment down there about paper cuts and collapsing TBR piles! XD XD XD YES. This reminds me of Cait’s post about how dangerous it is to be a bookworm…

  5. So glad you did the tag!

I’m an introvert too! I’m an ISFJ. I love HISHE!! It’s hilarious. And I can relate to over-committing and procrastinating! I’ve been trying to streamline my projects and commitments lately, though, so it’s helping, I think.

And a Middle Earth theme park would be so amazing!

    • I had a lot of fun with it! 😀

Yay for introverts! That whole uniting-separately-in-our-own-homes should be a thing. *nods seriously* Haha, I’ve laughed so hard watching those. XD Glad something’s working for you–that’s awesome! 🙂 …I really need to find an answer to my own problems. >.>

Wouldn’t it?? I’m just imagining it and… yes, so much Middle-earth goodness. ^_^

  6. A Middle Earth theme park would be amazing. I love cream cheese on crackers, mmmmm. Sherlock I freaked out when I saw the costumes, they are paying homage to the original and that makes me so happy.
    🙂

    • It would, it would, preciousss… 😉 Really? That is so cool! I had no idea so many people loved cream cheese and crackers! XD Yesss it’s going to be awesome! I have no idea what’s going on, but awesome it surely will be! 😀

  7. Hey! *waves* Haven’t visited in a while I know. XD It’s good to know these little things about you! Introverts unite! I’m in INFJ. XD And oh my gosh I haven’t seen that preview until now. Thank you for sharing it so excited! I also love Blimey Cow. They’re amazing. XD

    • Well, I’m glad you enjoyed learning random things about me! 😉 Yes, we must unite! (Separately, in our own homes, of course! XD) I feel like I know lots of INFJs. 😀 You’re welcome! So glad you liked it! 🙂 YES BLIMEY COW IS HILARIOUS. 😀

  8. I always love the random facts about yourself! Funny how we can know so much about each other and STILL learn new things!

It’s Never Fully Perfect? Lol! That just means you’re ALMOST perfect, right? Yes. Definitely. *nods firmly*
Apparently I’m the King (ENFJ) in a fairytale, which amused me highly!! Not sure that fits at all. But I also looked at ESFJ which I’m reeeally close to (I’m always just about in the middle of the Intuitive and Sensing thing) which is the Fairy godmother and I think that’s more fitting. It is my goal in life to FIX everything. I just want to make everybody better and for everyone to be happy! *flails*

FOMO! There’s a word for it? :O BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT I AM. I sooo hate being left out of things. Which is a problem…because I get left out a lot, or used to when I was younger. Maybe that’s why I hate it…? But yes, let me do ALL the things. Then I get overwhelmed… Basically EVERYTHING you said about it is me too!

OH MY WORD I DIDN’T KNOW THERE WAS A PEEK INTO THE NEW SHERLOCK YET. Man, I have not been keeping up with things. I MUST GO WATCH IT THIS INSTANT.

And and and BLIMEY COW. I loooooove Blimey Cow! Have I never mentioned it to you before? o.o Because I’ve been watching it for two or three years now. I AM SUCH A BAD FRIEND. Everybody needs to watch it! So glad you’ve discovered it!

A Middle Earth or bookish them park would be the most amazing thing ever. O_O

    Liked by 1 person

    • Well, I’m glad! ^_^ And yes, it’s amazing and funny but also awesome. 😉

Umm… noooo… it means that nothing I do is ever perfect… >.> AHEM.

And I don’t know, wanting to fix everything and making things better and happy could apply to a GOOD king. 😉 But Fairy Godmother might suit you too, you wonderful person you. ^_^

Haha, I actually learned the term fomo from a NaNo peptalk. XD I instantly latched onto it because YESSS. YES TO ALL THE THINGS. I’m glad you understand… 😛 But unlike me, you actually DO keep up usually, even when you’re overwhelmed! Me… I just drop everything and hide in my closet and bemoan my over-committed existence. XD It’s bad… Heh. 😛

SHERLOCK THINGS. I normally don’t keep up on stuff but I saw it randomly and had to share. 😀

BLIMEY COW YES. Actually… you may have mentioned it to me? I don’t know… I know that I remember Maffles talking about it, but that was before I could even really watch youtube at all due to slow internet. But yeah, it was kind of random how I found it. AND YOU ARE NOT A BAD FRIEND. I JUST DIDN’T GET TO IT. BUT I HAVE NOW SO IT’S ALL GOOD.

Yes. I want both to be a thing. XD

  9. Thanks for the tag! This sounds fun! 😀

Okay, this is might sound kind of weird. Numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5- That is me too! Like almost to a “t.” I’m an INFP also, except sometimes I end up a INTP. I guess it depends what kind of mood I’m in, or what side of my brain I prefer to use today. 😛 It’s nice to meet someone in common!

WAIT A MINUTE! THERE’S A SHERLOCK CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!? AND WHAT IS GOING? THE TIME CHANGE- THE- I MUST WATCH IT!

Ahem. I’m excited about this Sherlock episode that I’ve just now been acquainted with.

Oo, a Middle-Earth theme park. That sounds. . . dangerous.

  10. MIDDLE EARTH THEME PARK
I have been trying (for years) to convince anyone who would listen that this needs to be a thing! (Maybe that’s why they don’t invite me to parties?)

As a fellow procrastinating introvert, I love those posters. But every single time I do one of those tests, I end up something different. All it can decide is that I’m introverted.
I did go check out that fairytale Meyers Briggs and it is pretty funny. I’m putting the link at the bottom of this long comment.

I am ridiculously excited about the Sherlock Christmas special!!! That clip almost made it worse. (Actually, I feel that way about most things coming out of ComicCon. All of the pictures and videos of people having way more fun that you. And then I have to remind myself that ComicCon is full of SO MANY PEOPLE enclosed in a building. It only helps a little.)

Have you noticed how anything that is mint or orange flavored usually tastes like mint or orange? They’re two of the safest flavors. Not like green apple, which is always gross and tastes nothing like apples . . . but I digress.

I enjoyed reading your tag 🙂
