My doings of February…
Was sick almost all month. A flu and then a cold a week later. Which as you might imagine did not do much for my wanting to be productive…
Went to a library sale…
Read (mostly contemporary books). Which is weird for me…
Wrote nearly 6,500 words. Which may not sound like much but it’s more than I usually do in a month. I worked on a few different things, but mostly Tare (who is now vaguely mad at me because he hates nightmares).
- A bit of progress on Heartseeker.
- A (very long) chapter of The Secret of Kedran’s Wood, which hit 40k words.
- Hawkeye fanfiction.
- Some random snippets, including some for my new idea I mentioned in my last summarizing post.
Made progress on editing my friend’s lovely book. But am not finished yet. (Finished the first round, though.)
EDIT: Oh! And I discovered “Leverage”. Thanks to Christine and Cait for getting me into it. I have seen two seasons and it is awesome (Robin-Hood-like con artists hurray!). Eliot is the best ever. Just sayin’.
So there’s another round of monthly Ishness.
Sorry you were sick, but it sounds like you had a good rest-of-the-month. Poor Tare, going through nightmares- but at least you’re not making him live through those scenes over and over in your head anymore. 🙂

Haha, you remembered that. XD Yeah. Apparently I can’t win with him… 😉

More like I just reread the interviews earlier this week while looking for certain posts. xD But yeah. And such is the life of a writer . . . *dramatic sigh*

You’re welcome. 😀 And indeed . . . complaining, uncooperative characters, having to figure out how to keep said characters alive . . .

Wow that’s a lot of books, and 6,500 is a lot of words in a month. Good Job 🙂

Yay for books on editing and for editing books! Great selection of reference materials. I especially love the Chicago Manual of Style. : ) Editing others’ books is fun, do you agree? We went to the library sale, too, and found a few nice things as well!

Great Irish Detective Stories?! That sounds pretty awesome 🙂 And it looks like you got a lot of other great books as well! Library sales are just heaven.
So sorry you’ve been sick, though 😦 What a bummer – all month!! Hope you’re feeling better.

Well… I think it’s detective stories by Irish authors. But I think mysteries are coolest as short stories. 😀 And yes! Library sales are the best! ^_^ And thanks! I’m feeling mostly better. 🙂

ELLIOT!!!!!!!
Love him. 🙂 Also love him in Second Hand Lions 🙂
Sorry you’ve been sick, that’s the worst. But Elliot will make it all better. 🙂

You’ve seen Leverage and love Eliot?? MY DAY IS MADE. 😀 That is awesome. ^_^ Isn’t he the best? And ooh, I shall have to look that up! Thanks, and heehee, Eliot DOES make everything better. ^_^ *happy flailing*

Yes! Jack first got me intrigued about Leverage, and then a friend at church recommended it, so we gave it a try and absolutely loved it! Oh, Second Hand Lions is such a sweet movie. Kind of Princess Bride meets Anne of Green Gables meets Dreamer… except a lot less girly than any of those, since it’s about a boy and his two great uncles.

BOOKS, WRITING, KW, LEVERAGE. ALL MY FAVORITE THIIIINGS. Except for being sick. Definitely not being sick. But I am glad for the most part your February was good. ^_^
BUT LEVERAGE. So proud of influencing you to watch it. Hehehe. I’s so evil. Now you just need to watch Merlin and all the rest of Doctor Who and Robin Hood and we’ll be all set. ;P

YESSS. EEEEEEE. ^_^ And alkdjflskdjfslkd Leverage is so awesome! *flail* And ahaha! XD Well… I haven’t even got halfway through Leverage, sooo… it’s still going to take me awhile to get to those. XD But… maybe eventually! There’s just sooo many shows and I spend much more time reading than watching things. o.o BUT I KNOW MY LAURI LOVES THEM SO THEY ARE STILL HIGH ON MY LIST. 😀

Thanks! ^__^ And I looooved The Skin Map!! 😀 (except for a certain death *cough*) I reviewed it here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1135866872 🙂 I really wanna read the rest now…

Yes (*cough*)…so sad. 😦 But the book in its entirety was great! I read your review–you put it wonderfully! I’ve read the second one (The Bone House), and it’s also amazing. 🙂 There are three more after it, but I’m waiting for my brother to read them first. We kind of have a thing that if one of us starts a series first, that person has laid claim to the rest of the books, and thus gets to be the first to read them. So. Oh, wait, I think he did read The Spirit Well already… Well then, on to the next one! XD

“Cough”, indeed. 😛 I WAS SO MAD/SAD/TRAGEFIED. D: But yes, the rest was AWESOME. ^_^ Ooh, that’s a cool thing. 😀 Sometimes me and my siblings will read ahead when someone else started something, and things can get competitive. XD It hasn’t happened in awhile, but… yeah. 😛 I hope you’ll like the next one! I just have to get to the library sometime so I can start the second… o.o

Library sale!!! Best thing ever!! Wish I could have gone with you! 😀 🙂 I went to a library sale once, and it was ever so much fun!
I hope you’re feeling better!! That is just no fun, being sick with one thing after another, 😦 I myself am coming down with a sore throat/headache combination, but hopefully it won’t worsen!
Hope March is full of fresh new opportunities for you, 😀 🙂 Blessings!

As for me… I woke up this morning feeling awful, 😦 But I’ve been really taking it slowly, and am feeling a bit better. Thank you!!! I hope so too; I think my immune system is down because I’ve been so stressed these last weeks! 😮 Anyway, hopefully we both have a long stretch of healthiness… on that note, I can’t wait for summer!! 😀 ❤

Awww, I’m so sorry! 😦 *HUGS* Still praying you will feel better. ❤ And that's very possibly part of why I wasn't well, also…
Yes! Hopefully we will be healthy. ^_^ Aaaahhh, summer is so far away! It's so nasty and cold… I'll settle for spring for a start. XD

I HAVE A MEGA CRUSH ON ELIOT, JUST SAYIN’. I love that whole show, but he is adorable. Like he’s so nice with kids and then he punches bad guys. AWESOME. *ahem* Leverage rocks.
WOW! WELL DONE ON THE LIBRARY SALE! I nearly went to a library sale last week, but it was on a Friday morning not a Saturday (which is dumb, boo) and I couldn’t go downtown because I couldn’t use the car so I MISSED OUT. Very sad. Although, ehe, I probably don’t need more books. xD

ME TOO. I LOVE ELIOT TO BITS. ^_^ And yes, he’s sweet, AND awesome, AND funny and just akasjdlfkdljlj so much awesome! 😀 Leverage is FABULOUS!
And yes! I found a bunch… and you probably don’t need more books. XD But on the other hand, you actually get through those books at a rapid pace, so you’re probably more allowed than I am. XD I’m kind of a snail about reading… o.o But that is too bad you didn’t get to go! 😦
Thank you for the comment! ❤ #daymade

Sorry to hear that you were sick, and for so long, too! That really does nothing for motivation.
Library sales are the best! Especially on the last day or so, when it’s $5 for as much as you can stuff in a grocery bag. Looks like you did pretty well at this one (is that a Robert Frost collection I see? He’s one of my favorites)!
Congratulations on the exceptional amount of writing you got done (even despite the illness) and best wishes moving forward!

Yes, it is a Robert Frost collection! 😀 It’s complete, too. ^_^ I haven’t read much by him, but what I have I’ve liked so I thought I’d give it a try since I want to read more poetry. 🙂
Thank you so much!! 🙂 Best wishes to you as well!
